I'm not a fan of Sweet Lou either, so I do not take his evaluation into account here. My question is more along the lines of what YOU guys think, not Lou. If it had no authentication from anyone I guess is what I'm asking. I know some of you have Mantle items, so does the 7 look like his? Was this his size hat?

Well, taking a sharpie, and writing a "7" like that doesn't seem too hard to do. If Lampson tried hard enough he might know how to write it just like that too (lack of brain prevents him from being capable of doing things like that). If I were you I'd just wait for another Mantle hat to pass along, but with actual provenance

Yeah, I would stay away from game used caps unless they have solid provenance. Its too easy for someone to take a sharpie and write a number.
