Re: GFC: 1994 Alex Rodriguez jersey

the shirt is a 1995-96 style shirt, with a 1994 patch, and 1994 strip tag.

here's a comparison of the front team wordmark on the mariners 1994 teal alt shirts. note the white outline seen in the getty photos:

    1994: Does this help?

keeping in mind these were ALTERNATE jerseys meant to be worn sparingly and arod only played in 17 games. i'd kill to know if during the 17 games that arod played in 1994, if the mariners actually wore the teal alt jerseys for any of those games.

3 jerseys, all with differently arched nameplates. and of course, the GFC teal "arod rookie gamer" has a completely different front team wordmark:

not the first time someone tried to dump a garbage 1994 rodriguez into GFC:

and of course its not the first time nick coppola missed it.

anyway, another forum member found this photo of arod in 1994. note the white outline around "MARINERS":

Here are a couple from 1994. Take it for what it is worth. To me on first look the AMI looks more like what he wore based on the position on the "I".

the front of the AMI shirt is a better match but the nob has the wrong arch. the Lelands shirt has a better nob but the front doesn't match. if you could take the front of the Lelands' shirt and the back of the AMI shirt, that'd probably look like a good shirt. keeping in mind arod was a midseason call-up and only played 17 games, how many alternate jerseys did he really wear? my guess is 1. out of the 3 in this thread, i personally don't like any of them. GFC's though was by far the worst.
