    GFC Warren Moon

The Hobby's premier auction site for game-worn jerseys, graded cards, championship rings, and Hall of Fame autographs.

The Russell tag on the offered jersey is in the tail....not that long ago they had a large lot of Oilers jerseys from the "Roger Gibson Collection"....All of them from this era were tagged in the collar with a year tag and came with LOA's from the team

What's the chance the offered jersey is real?

Here are some real Russell tags from Moon jersey's. The Oilers moved the to the collars on everyone I have seen in this era.

Roger, thanks for posting the Oilers pics....what size did Moon wear in this time frame?...you consigned a REAL one to them....how can they authenticate the currently offered piece, when it is sooooo different from yours?...and yours came with a team letter that they sold only a few months ago?

The sleeve cuffs pretty much date the jersey. The 48 size is not what he wore. NO GOOD.

The font on the 1 looks no good as well.

Because that's what they do, lund6771.

They pump out garbage for profit. Remember, "authentication" is primarily an "opinion"!

            Outstanding.

Oh, and occasionally they sell a nice item, too. Got to do their part in keeping up that solid reputation!!!

Grey Flannel's authenticator dates this jersey as "Late 80s"
Not sure where they got that info. Check the striping on the sleeves
The thin striping did not exist on Oilers jerseys in 1986, 1987, 1988 or 1989

In 1990 the Oilers switched to the thinner sleeve end design.

In fact, this jersey could only be from one year. 1990. Why? I'm not a paid authenticator and I know from doing 5 minutes of research...

In 1991 the Oilers had the NFL Shield on their jerseys

                  Re: GFC Warren Moon

Interesting to compare the difference in collars as well.

The game photos show Warren's collars coming to a point, where the GFC version does not. Any Oilers experts know if he used various collars in 1990?
