    Green Bay Packers #66 jersey

Offering a rather unique Packers jersey, issued to offensive lineman Larry Pfohl, who eventually recast himself in the world of professional wrestling as Lex Luger. This jersey was worn in the preseason of 1982, and represents the last time the team issued #66, as they retired the number for Ray Nitschke in 1983. The jersey has been slightly tapered, the sleeves have been hemmed, and the collar has been replaced by a striped late '80s variety. The NOB has been removed. A couple small team repairs have been executed on the right shoulder. This jersey comes from the estate of long time Packers equipment manager Bob Noel. He most likely kept the jersey as this was last time the number was used by the team. Why he replaced the collar later is a mystery. Was it to give to Ray to wear for a team-sponsored event? Who knows. An interesting artifact and a rare chance to get a retired number from a team who rarely celebrates players with such an honor. $395 shipped. Paypal accepted.
