how come the 2009 Slam Dunk jerseys sold for so little?
I went to bed early last night because I knew I wouldn't be able to win any jerseys from the Slam Dunk contest based on how high the jerseys went for the other All Star Events but was surprised to see how low some of these sold for:

and this one didn't even sell

I'm kicking myself now, but why did these sell for so low?

Re: how come the 2009 Slam Dunk jerseys sold for so little?
With the playoffs beginning this weekend and with some of these players belonging on the playoffs teams, I'd say it's the most exciting time of the season. I'm just surprised that jerseys from the other competitions went in the thousands and with the Slam Dunk contest being the most anticipated event that evening went, the jerseys only went for low hundreds.

I was not surprised by the prices. These are not big-name players and the slam dunk contest has never carried that much weight with basketball collectors (I would liken it to the homerun derby in baseball - it's more entertainment than sport). On the flip side, you have to be impressed by the final hammer prices of slam dunk participants like Dwight Howard ($2020; former winner and Superman showman) and Nate Robinson ($2500; this year's winner). Especially impressive since these were not even their primary slam dunk jerseys (but worn for part of the slam dunk event).

I'm with you on this one. Pau is not a player that collectors tend to drool over (he has a reputation for being very soft; and based on how hard he played for Spain in the Olympics, folks realize that he often does not bring his A-game in the NBA), but someone got a pretty good deal here.

I thinking collectors were saving their money to bowl with the sixer girls.
