Tony Perez 1973-75 Game Used Bat Records

Just purchased a Tony Perez Bat that originated from the Reds 580 Gift Shop. Was still sealed in the original bag. Model Number is R43. Length is actually 35 ¼” (measured end to end), however I don’t see any mention of 35 ¼” bats in Vince’s Book. Labeling period is 1973-1975. Does anyone have shipping records indicating this size of bat ordered by Perez or is it common for there to be some variation in length that it could have actually been ordered as a 35” bat.

Bat authenticators will generally allow 1/4 inch variation when comparing to H & B factory records. Thus, the bat would be considered a match to Perez' 35" / 33 oz orders in 1975 (most likely) or the 35.5" / 32.5 - 34 oz orders in 1973, 1974, and 1975, Generally depending on the weight. Keep the bag from the original purchase and any other documentation (receipt, etc) given the source.
