blue and green marks on a g u bat
I have a brain cramp, could someone let me know what the blue and green marks represent on the game used bats. Blue marks BP balls and green marks game day balls?

Keep in mind, also, that prior to 2000, when each league had their own baseball, NL baseballs had black print and AL baseballs carried a green or blue color, depending on the era.

Re: blue and green marks on a g u bat
The four MLB BP balls I've seen close up were regular balls with the same blue markings as game balls except absent the rub-up mud; although one of them, marked " practice", had lighter blue markings than regular game balls. Also, some g-u balls are recycled for BP. So it's hard to be sure of anything from the color of markings. I think it varies.
