Whacked out value...Installment #2...
Okay......so I'm going through the Roberts Edwards auction results, and here's one of the items I placed an early bid on....
It's a beautiful 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers baseball, signed by all the majors, with NO secretarial sigs.....nice!
Estimated to hammer out at $1,500-$2,500+.......that plus giving it a bit of juice for the right guy who really wants it.

After you check out the gorgeous ball.......L K at what it sold for.....
.....keep in mind that's BEFORE the buyers premium, too!!!
Comments?
(for you lazy ones........it went for $27,500.00.....that HAS to be a record for a team signed baseball other than a Yankee team....)

That price doesn't surprise me at all... given that '55 was the 1st WS for the Dodgers and ONLYChampionship for Brooklyn...
It doesn't hurt that the ball is pristine with sharp clean sigs and includes:
Robinson, Campanella, Snider, Reese, Koufax, Hodges
I've seen a few 55 Dodgers team balls - NONE this clean and most without Koufax since even back then he wasn't a big signer - and they most all go for more than the estimated hammer price - generally around $5k and up...
