BB...another pujols question...
In my endless search for a pujols gamer I have come across another. It's a 2007 blonde sam bat. Bat looks good for the most part. Medium use, medium tar, and 5 on the knob. Just wanted to ask a question about the info on the end of the barrell. Here is what is on the end....
34.5
31.5
3 27 07
JB1S/SG1
7575
Does this info coincide with what should be on the end of a pujols gamer? Where this one has 7575, I've seen other sam bats have A.P. so that's the only thing I am questioning. I still don't know what all that stuff means. So any info on this would be helpful......

Re: BB...another pujols question...
34.5=34.5 inches long
31.5=31.5 ounces
3 27 07 = march 27, 2007, production date (be careful with earlier sam bats because sometimes they'll list it DD MM YY instead of MM DD YY).
JB1(s)/sg1=maybe someone can confirm, but I believe this means that the knob of the bat is from the JB1 model (except a smaller version, thus 's') and the barrel is from an sg1 bat.
7575=batch production code. earlier sam bats had the players' initials. Check out this database that birdbats put together: http://webpages.charter.net/birdbats...20Database.htm . You can see that another person has a Pujols bat from that exact same production batch on that same day (Mar 27, 2007).

So all that info checks out ok? Nothing funny or wrong with it? Just want to make sure.

Re: BB...another pujols question...
There's nothing suspect with the production info on the bat. 7575 seems to be a common code for more recent Pujols bats.
Albert used natural Sam Bats for 10% of his plate appearances in 2007, so there is a chance it's a bat he used. The key would be the use characteristics. Photos would help.
Most Pujols bats offered in the hobby are legit bats that were used by someone other than Albert. Often, it's easy to tell from photos whether bats show Albert's characteristics.Jeff Scott
