Hurst New Era/Diamond Collection cap from the 80's on ebay

I came across this Bruce Hurst cap on ebay:

Hurst's final season with the Red Sox was 1988. The cap has a Diamond Collection tag on the inside which according to various things I've read was not used before the early 90's on New Era caps.

Just thought I'd post this here as an FYI in case anyone from this board is bidding. I personally would have bid $100+ on it, but after reading the below link and doing some other research I have decided to back off. My unfulfilled quest for Hurst game used items continues...

Umm, no, I think you misunderstood my post. I'm not bidding because after some research, I've decided it probably was not game used.

Hurst left the Sox in 1988, probably too soon for the Diamond Collection tag to be in his cap.
