How much can the weight change or be off on game used bats from records?
I am trying to match a bat to factory records for ordering and wondered how much the weight can change over time or be off to begin with from actual ordering records. Also I'm using a postal scale to weigh, any other suggestions?

Dave Grob wrote an article on this topic, available on MEARS website. I'll be honest that I didn't read it, but appears to provide some data points.

I'm no weight authority and someone might correct specific numbers, but I recall reading experts saying a couple or three ounces is possible with a really old bats.

And if you hang a bat from a bat rack for many years it can be longer. Except if you hang it upside down, then it can be shorter.
