I know it's your M.O., but can't you come up with anything better? If spending $$ actually = championships why don't the Yankees win every year? Is it because the games are still played on the field?

While World Series championships are less open to purchase than they used to be, it's clear that--most years--the AL East crown can be bought. (It's also pretty clear that Ca$hman is a pretty lame general manager, and that 30 years on, there isn't a $teinbrenner with a lick of baseball sense. For that, the rest of the league is eternally grateful.)
When MLB shares "old revenues" like they share "new revenues" I'll gladly put this drum down...believe me.
