Did Michael Jordan ever use tape on his bats?

I'm trying to locate a photo of MJ using a bat with a tape job on the handle...so far no luck.

I checked Taube's MJ bat EVERYWHERE for proof that he ever taped and I couldn't find one picture. His first batch of those same bats were stolen in transit. I have the story about it. That story has always made me a little leary towards that model. It also doesn't have his # on the knob and every pitcher I've seen where you can see the knob has his #45 on it written a certain way. Also, I can't find an exact picture of him using that bat even without the tape. Some look pretty close, but I couldn't even match that up. Not saying it's not legit, but for 2.5 I'd pass.

You're reading my mind. I'm gonna pass for all the reasons you mentioned. I'll just save my pennies for more Pete Stuff. I still need to send you pics of my Rose bat.
