This is Rusty Wallace's firesuit that he wore during the 1993 Winston 500 where he flipped several times & sustained several injuries to include lacerations to his face, busted teeth & a broken wrist. The suit was cut off of him due to the uncertainty of his injuries. I just recently acquired it through an individual who has spent over 20 yrs in the sport & who personally worked w/ Rusty through most of his career. You can still visibly see some of the blood stains (many more than what is shown) still visible after 17 yrs...

That is kinda morbid and awesome at the same time. The morbid part would be that the suit was cut up to check him for more injuries. Crazy weird and interesting item. Nice find.

Yea it does have kind of a "twisted" aspect to it but fortunately there was nothing else wrong w/ him. Now it's not as morbid as what I saw a few years back when I came across a forum in which individuals were trying to track down Dale Sr's last uniform. Now that to me is morbid, why would you want something that someone died in???

Just picked up a panel from Carl Edwards 2008 Bristol Sharpie 500 win. Found perfect photo match.
