    Hockey Movie Jersey? Thoughts?

A shot in the dark here but who better to ask? This is a heavy knit jersey with a stamp from the Hollywood Costume Company in the hem. It has all sewn numbers and lettering and reinforced elbows and shoulders. Only tagging is a Stall and Dean type flag tag of size 44 also in hem. Pro quality from perhaps as early as the 1950's or 60's. No clue what movie it is from - any ideas? Thanks!

hmmm only hockey movies I can thin of would be Slapshot or Youngblood.

I wonder if it could be an old Prince Albert Raiders jersey ?

I can't think of any hockey movie from that era. At all.
Studio Wardrobes sometimes keep clothing in their inventory, just for prosperity's sake. It may be from a minor league or college. Did you ask at gameworn.net?

There were/are famous Hollywood clothiers that provided costumes for movies, but I've never before heard of Hollywood Costume Company. You'd have to do some research on the name.

Duh. Here's the actual company name as ink stamped in the inner hem of the jersey:
    "Western Costume Co., Hollywood, Calif".

It might be from the movie "The Rocket". Since it was set in the 40s and 50s, this would be the style the Rangers used. In addition, there was a scene that featured a Montreal/NY game.
