    Louisville Bat Player Identification Needed

Several years ago, I purchased a number of bats from a AAA PCL batboy. Below is a photo of a brown Louisville model S318. #3 is on the knob. Can any Forum reader identify the players name on this bat? First name may be Scott?

    Any help is appreciated.

On the one photo the last name almost looks like a Q. I looked up names with Q before, just briefly using your Scott reference. If the 1st name is Art, I would suggest Art Quirck who played in 62 and 63. That's my stab at it at least.

Pitcher with the O's. Here's a late period autograph.

This bat is from the mid 80's (83-85 time period) and was made at least 20 years after Art Quirk played his last game.

    Can't be Art Quirk.

It was worth a try....so much for me trying to say I know anything about bats!

If my eyes are not fooling me, I believe the player's first name is Matt, or possibly Milt (the last two letters appear to be tt's that are crossed before the capital letter for the last name).

It was good try. If Art Quirk was a position player it could have been a coaches bat made during the 80's. I can't imagine Quirk having a contract with HB for the 7 games he played between 62-63 and then coming back as a coach in the 80's with a signature model bat.
