He was signing at the Sports Spectacular (formerly the Chicago Sun-Times show) in Rosemont, IL. Quite a few Detroit athletes there this weekend: Trammell, Whitaker, Lem Barney, Barry Sanders, Jim Bunning, Dennis Rodman. I just needed Trammell, well, that's not entirely true, Barry Sanders was a little too rich for my blood.

mbrieve, no worries, I am sorry if I came off as offended. I was just a little worried that there was some sort of MLB hologram mix up. I would love to own that bat though lol

Yes I own that bat. Look at page one of this thread and it's the bat just above the pink one. Definitely my favorite bat of his that I own. Congrats on the base and nice collection.

Just this picked up this beauty to add to my 2009 Tigers bat collection....

I was just wondering if the Lettering and label on the Carolina Clubs bat is a rubber type materal that could easily peel off? I have one myself and I had never seen a label like that before.

Here's a bit of a different one. When I was finishing grad school back in the early 90's I did an internship at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association in their marketing office. They had this hang-up when doing an old timers type game that the first person to claim a number got it and the next person couldn't use it....like it was a real game. I always thought it was silly, fans want to see their heroes in the number they wore as players. Anyway, that's why it's #7.

I was able to get Carlos Guillen to sign two of my game used bats tonight during his rehab assignment with the West Michigan Whitecaps.
