I bought a Tony Gwynn signed baseball at a Sam's Club a number of years back.

Just checked there website looks like there prices are just as bad if not worse.

Checked out the site too. The prices are retail as they say, but the had mounted memories COAs which is good. $97 for a Duke Snider signed photo, which is up there.

Could have been worse like Costco. Then we' d only have the option to buy them in bulk

I saw sportscard wax boxes once at the Seattle Costca, but have seen nothing close since.

Actually, 13 years ago the local SAM's in WI, which always sold card boxes, had in the 1996 Leaf Signature Series (Hot stuff at the time with 1+ autograph per pack). Some guy asked if he could buy a case or cases, and SAM's brought out the fork lift. As they say, it doesn't hurt to ask.
