Re: Lets see your favorite bat in your collection!
Maybe #2 or #3, but don't have pictures of the others to post so I'll go with this one. Photomatched to a 3 Double Game that set the record for most 3 double games in a season since at least 1900 and to a 2 Homerun game, which all led to a POTW award. Includes double #45 on the season, his 50th double bat and cleats are in the Royals HOF collection.

Pete Rose circa 1975-76 Adirondack game used bat. Just a perfect bat. Great use but not overuse. Have a lot of pics of him using it in 1975 and 1976. My two favorite years in baseball history. It's matches well with my 1976 Rose reds jersey. Take a look:

Micah Owings LS, from the 9/17/07 game in Pittsburgh, when he went 4 for 4 with three doubles (this bat was broken when he hit the second), and shut out the Pirates 8-0 on the mound. The Diamondbacks had been on a losing streak, and that performance revitalized the team and got them revved up for the final push to the playoffs that year.
Hard to narrow down, but it's gotta be one of these six...
Joe

My first game used bat. Bought this 1997 Bernie Williams gamer at the National and I think I'm addicted. I want more!
Just found this forum a few days ago. Great stuff.

One other little snipet related to this bat, that I just stumbled across in a web search that led me to this from an SI.com Tom Verducci blog from last year, Billy finished with 51... I don't think I had heard this list before, I knew it was rare, but thats an impressive group.
But there is another bright spot for the Royals that has received little attention: the breakout year for first baseman Billy Butler. Remember, he's still only 23, and he needs just four more doubles for 50 on the season. Only seven players have ever hit 50 doubles at 23 or younger, and there is not a fluke in the club: Hank Greenberg, Enos Slaughter, Stan Musial, Alex Rodriguez, Albert Pujols, Grady Sizemore and Miguel Cabrera.

At first, the portrait really bugged me. Great work, no question, but I have always gone back and forth about having autos on a bat, let alone a portrait! The portrait btw, looks much "softer" in person - plus, it is nicely done.
In any event, the bat itself is fantastic - tons of use with several nice seam marks, ball marks, rack marks, and has the typical Rose barrel cleaning. Absolutely love the bat ... and the portrait is actually starting to grow on me.
Now I am looking for a Hornsby finish Rose as well as a blonde Mizuno.
Out of all my game bats I would have to say my Mike Blowers game bat is my favorite. My reason, it was my first game bat and it was given to me by my dad. Now a few years have past and I'm at 70+ bats.
