    Re: October pick-ups

Just got a Barry Bonds gamer from pre-steroids era 88-89, a Mears 10, Louisville Slugger auction sticker, Bonds hologram, mlb hologram and a whole lot of use.

    Re: October pick-ups

Just got this sweet Dale Murphy 80-83 uncracked stick today. B 310 cupped. 34.5 inches and 32-33 ounces. Possibly from his MVP years of 82-83. A lot of pine tar, ball marks, and some deadwood from repeated beatings. Got a nice deal on it too! Check it out.

I passed on that Murphy bat because it looks like their was another number written under that 3 on the knob and barrel end.

    Here is my latest 'pickup'.

2009 David Wright Game Used Louisville Slugger W305M

Bat has a heavy coat of Mota Stick on the handle and light use overall. Wright starting using a few of these black finish LVSs towards the end of the this season.

There's not. Just sloppily written by Murph.

Probably a slip of the pen. It could be hard to write inside those old cups since you have to hold the pen by the end.

Agreed. Murph's "3" is the only one that was ever written on that bat. Great bat, btw. Had it on my watch list and it ended pretty quickly.
