Thought I would share my latest 'pick-up'.

2009 David Wright Louisville Slugger W305M
MLB Hologram broken and collected 9/08/09

I have photomatched this bat as early as August 11 when the Mets were in Arizona. It looks like there are no marks on the bat then and it is brand new. I traced it's use through a number of at bats and photo matched it to the August 15 home game against the Giants where David was struck in the head and suffered a concussion. The photos of David batting are from the actual 'at bat' where he suffered the concussion. The additional ball marks due to the bat being used in a number of other at bats before it was broken.

After returning from the DL on September 1, he used it a few more times until it was finally broken and collected on September 8.

A few weeks ago the West Michigan Whitecaps put their jerseys on sale after the weekend. After talking to the Merch lady about the unsold jerseys and how they were reused. No suprise. I asked her what happened to all the nameplates that were stripped from the reused jerseys. She did not know. After talking to the lady who sews the jerseys nameplates it turns out she saved them. 100+ dating back to 2000. I picked up the following from her this morning.

Alfredo Figaro from 2008

Omar Infante from 2000

Ryan Raburn from 2002-2003

Just received a great item from a new member - jgperro

Game used bat from Japanese All-Star Yoshinobu Takahashi, #1 draft pick by the Yomiuri Giants in 1998. He won a bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Been on a lucky streak lately! I recently picked up 2 1996 Eric Davis Reds hats, a home and a spring training hat. I also picked up one of my holy grails, A Davis '98 Orioles jersey!

Just picked up this Rawley Eastwick 1973 minor league Indianapolis Indians (reds) game used jersey. All original. Rawley only wore #22 in 1973. Rawley signed it at a show and was surprised and excited to see it. I've never seen another. Check it out.

Thats really cool. I like how he used it after he came back from the dL instead of a new one.
