Alex Rodriguez - Nike Bats
I have a line on a '96 Game Used ARod bat - Nike, which I understand were actually Louisville Slugger C271 models with the swoosh plastered on them.
All I have heard thus far is that Nike made a brief try around '95-'96 to get into the marketplace and a few guys, Griffey, ARod, Pudge for example, all were using the bats. And there were a few produced, but not many?
Does anyone have any other background on the usage of these bats, order history or any other info?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Ben

That was the figure that I got from another collector too - he said maybe 5 to 10 in that mid-90s era for each player. I am happy to hear that figure confirmed here and any other input welcomed.

Re: Alex Rodriguez - Nike Bats
I believe the Nike bats were from 1995 also. The most prolific user I saw was Robbie Thompson of the Giants. I also saw one of Robin Ventura, and the only one I have ever been able to acquire is Ray Lankford.

Griffey and Arod both got under a dozen, neither liked them because the wood checked to early, like in that photo
