Piece of 86 WS history up close and personal

This morning I had the priviledge to view two pieces of 86 WS history. Bill Buckner's cleats and glove he wore in Game 6 when the ball went thru his legs.

    Enjoy the photo!

Unfortunately the ball is not THE ball. I attended a photo shoot this morning in which the NY Mets will be featuring memorabilia relating to the 86 Mets. I provide GU bats for the photo shoot and the Buckner Glove and Cleats were by the current owner. The photos will be featured in upcoming programs sold at the stadium and on Aug 19th a film featuring all the memorablilia will be shown during the game.

Is was great to see the Buckner glove and ball in person. Unfortunately they were permanently housed in the display case so they couldn't be handled.
