    P44 bat

Does anyone know which player initiated H&B bat model P44?

    Re: P44 bat

As far as I know, P44 showed up on vault marked Waner bats. Coincidentally, a model W44 shows up right after this bat is made. Perhaps the vault marked P44 became the W44?

Here is the eBay auction item number for a vault-marked Paul Waner model P44:

    330370711770

    Thanks!

Thanks, but I am not persuaded that a Waner model would be stamped P44. I have since heard that P44 is the model associated with one Jesse Pike. Anyone else have info on this?

Again, way to use another persons thread on promoting your own items.

Furthermore, the Waner bat you are selling, and that Raines bat for that matter, what do the LOA's say about them that YOU produce for the bat? Does it say for the Waner that, "Perhaps the vault marked P44 became the W44?" or, "As far as I know P44 showed up on vault marked Waner bats." None of which sound too comforting to read from a LOA.

Actually, just paste the LOA on here for the Waner bat. I'd like to see it.

            Re: P44 bat

In the end, the bat went for $1200. Even if the bat was not sent in to H&B by Waner, we are still left with the possibility that it was a pro model Waner bat which was sent in by some obscure ballplayer (named Pike). Is it really a pro model bat? What is the length? How often would H&B send out a bat to a major leagure with such light stampings? These seem lighter than anything I've ever seen on a game used bat, but my experience with these things is limited.

I have it as Jesse Pike in 1941.

                  Thanks Brian.

I guess gameusedbat.com had no more information on their own bats.
