Mickey Mantle Jersey - Forgery?
Be advised.
The seller of this Mickey Mantle jersey originally listed it with a COA from the J. DiMaggio company.
For those of you unaware, the J. DiMaggio Company was a front for the Marino forgery ring. The Marinos set this company up with a person named Jim DiMaggio in the mid 1990s. They then shortened the name to J. DiMaggio in an attempt to confuse the public and lend creditability to the company, by implying and/or extending the impression it was associated with Joe DiMaggio.
The company was subsequently shut down during the FBI sting: Operation Bullpen
From that time, all COAs from the J. DiMaggio Company have been banned on eBay.
This is the original listing:

The seller subsequently ended the original listing after one day and relisted the jersey without any name specific reference to the J. DiMaggio Company, and without a photo of the J. DiMaggio COA which is shown in the original listing.
This is the revised listing:

Re: Mickey Mantle Jersey - Forgery?
Since the Marinos were expert forgers on Mantle, Williams, ect, I would definately question this jersey. I personally wouldnt touch it.

Mickey Mantle Jersey - Auction Invalidated
The jersey sold for 2125.00 at the close of the eBay auction. Since that time, eBay has canceled the auction and notified all bidders that the sale is not valid or binding.
