Jeter bat use characteristic
Over the last several years I have noticed in games that some of the heavily used bats Derek Jeter uses in addition to having many ball marks on the barrel frequently have much of the finish worn off the very end of the barrel where the bat would rest if it were standing in a bat rack. I have seen a lot of Jeter game used bats over the years but none with the finish worn off the end of the barrel. I wonder why that is and has anybody seen or purchased a Jeter bat with this characteristic?

That's likely, but not necessarily true. It could have been used at any point throughout the season. The only way to know for sure it a photomatch.
