Rays Trade Akinori Iwamura to Pirates !?!?!?

I don't really agree with the trade, but what can I do???? Aki has a good bat and fast...

I do agree the Rays have a lot of depth at that position....

    What do you think???

I've been following the rumors that said it was either Aki or Crawford they needed to trim from the budget. Crawford is still the face of the franchise and in his prime also, so I think losing him would have more impact overall.

I just question who they got for Aki. I know little about Chavez, but it sounds like they just needed to make a trade ASAP.

When do the Pirates ever make a good trade? Iwamura is decent, but there is no way he can be a long term solution. Anyway if he becomes "too good" then the Pirates will trade him away. Can't wait until they trade Cutch

As for Chavez- he is a young flamethrower that has potential. He will be nothing more than a semi successful middle reliever.
