I got mine 2 days ago. Shouldn't they be sent out BEFORE an auction ends?

This happen once before in one of the last GUU auctions too. I believe they had a problem with the shipper.

That is correct. We used a new printer/shipper this auction based on the new catalog format we used for this auction. The shipper told us they sent out the postcards and catalogs the day after the auction started which would have allowed plenty of time for everyone to receive them. Unfortunately, there was an error on the part of the shipper and the postcards and catalogs did not get out in the timing they had communicated to us.

We actually went as far as mailing a second set of catalogs to everyone to make sure they were all received prior to the auction close. In addition, we had a very aggressive advertising program which gave the auction a great deal of visibility. As for the postcards, we were told they would get to everyone in time despite the later mailing date but it appears that did not happen with everyone.

Needless to say, we will take additional steps in the future to audit the mailing to make sure it doesn't happen with whatever shipper we use.
