Jim Rice bat "Help Needed"

Is anyone familiar with Jim Rice bats and is the bat pictured below legit? Would like to know if Jim Rice taped his handles in a similar way and if the model number and knob number is consistent with other Jim Rice bats.

Also, what is the going price for one of his bats?

The number on the knob looks correct, both of mine have similar writing, although in thinner marker. Neither of my bats have tape. I asked him about a bat of his several years ago, and he said he liked a lot of pine tar.

I'd say it's a $250-300 bat, perhaps? Others may know better.
