Who has built there own Baseball Lockers for display purposes?
Dear Forum Members, can those of you who have built baseball lockers for your own memorabilia rooms please post a few pics? My friends dad who is good at building things like this has offered to build me some for our next sports exhibit display. I am looking for ideas right now. If you can post the measurements (height & width) that would be great or you can always email the info to me too at: deweystg@berkeley.edu
Thanks,

Depending on what you are looking to spend, save some money and go to Walmart and buy the 5 shelf bookcases for $25 ea.
Here is my basement - I just leave out the shelves above the fixed support shelf and my mannequins fit perfectly and give it a locker type appearance - and you can use the bottom shelves to display other items likes hats, cleats, etc:
Hope this helps!!!
All the best -
Smitty
P.S. - I am NOT the one who came up with this idea - another board member brought it up years ago - but it has been a great solution for me!

Smitty, that is ridiculously awesome. I need to go rip down all my shelving in the man cave and rebuild.

A search of the forum will show Harpt's amazing row of lockers that he built to house his Brewer's jerseys and equipment. It is amazing! Check it out!
Harpt (or anyone else), please post the picture again. The lockers are really cool, and so are the jerseys hanging in them.
Kind Regards,
Ron.

I have been looking for ideas for something like this and I found one! Thanks so much Express! I went out to walmart and purchased a bookshelf and put it together. Here are some photos..
On the 1st section I put a Hamilton jersey and a few bats..
On the 2nd section I put some cards, a photo and tickets..
And on the 3rd I put some signed balls and a ALCS 2010 game used ball..

Re: Who has built there own Baseball Lockers for display purposes?
Smitty, thanks for the idea. I am looking for something a little more traditional looking and modular since they would be used in a museum display and would have to be taken down and stored at some point.
I like the $25 Walmart idea for my own space whenever I can get around to setting something up.
harpt, what are the dimensions on the lockers you built? I remember seeing these in an older post. Very nice looking setup you got going!
Anyone else out their build there own locker for display purposes??[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]www.alamedasportsproject.com
