This card, limited to only 50 made, is one of Garko's most sought after Rookie Cards:
It features him in the 05 MLB Futures Game for Team USA, shown here:
Which both feature this jersey, the only one of its kind:
Sorry to Burst your bubble on the Garko jersey but its not the same as the one in the card! Look how in the the card the flag sits at a angler over the piece below it, also look how thin the blue is in the BBcard jersey-and how much wider it is in your jerey-Sorry thats definitly no match
Albert Pujols' first Cardinals jersey, worn in the 2000 Arizona Fall League. The AFL played a 27-game schedule in 2000, with one home and one away jersey issued for each player. As such, this jersey would have been worn for 13-14 games. It is pictured on several of Albert's rookie cards, including 2001 Bowman, Bowman Autograph, Bowman Chrome, Topps Finest, and Topps Reserve. Tip of the cap to Jeff Scott for the method used to do the side-by-side comparison.
Hopefully this isn't hijacking the thread... but this was the coolest photo-match I currently have.
I recently noticed a new 100ft photo-match of my Marc Andre Fleury set 2 jersey at Console Energy Center!!! It's cool like a card photo-match, except 18,000 + fans a night get to see it!!!
That Fleury match is insane! And that's coming from a Flyers fan.
Thanks! One of my friends was joking with me that it would be cool if my Fleury jersey was the one on the building while waiting in line for an event at CEC a few weeks ago. When I looked up at it, I was like holy S#!T it's a phot0-match of my jersey.
I have several items photo-matched on cards. I have a Joey Votto 2007 Louisville Bats mesh alternate/bp jersey that's matched to a Just Minors card.
I also have a couple of Josh Hamilton items. I have his 1999 Hudson Valley Renegades pinstripe jersey (that he won his only championship at ANY level in) matched to a 2001 Upper Deck Chirogrophy card, his Louisville Bats black alternate jersey matched to the 2007 Bats Team Set card, and the bat he used to hit 2 homers in his first multi-homer game matched to 4 different cards. It was easy to match because he only used it in one game, and it was the only cherry colored bat he used in 2007.
The Pujols Family Foundation is a national not-for-profit agency that exists to honor God and strengthen families through our works, deeds and examples. Since beginning this foundation in 2005, we have sought to help those living with Down syndrome here at home and to improve the lives of the impoverished in the Dominican Republic.
Click the link halfway down the page and read the primer written by Rob Steinmetz and Jeff Scott.
The information in the primer can also be confirmed by speaking with the folks at the Cardinals Hall of Fame (who did a complete forensic analysis of this shirt BTW).
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. There are many knowledgeable collectors on this board who are happy to assist.
Just happened to be browsing and noticed that this 2009 Upper Deck card features Lastings wearing a jersey that I own. Second time I have found a baseball card featuring an item that I have.
