Hi Jason - do you have any specific years you are looking at researching? There are numerous orders from 1935 through the end of his career - including numerous orders of bats that were not his signature model - they were models of other players including Babe Ruth. Sorry group I am new to bats. The handle bottom reads B2 and i do believe the bat is from the 1940's hope that is enough.

Hi Jason - is the model number D2, or B2? There is not a B2 model listed in the records. The D2 model was ordered quite frequently by Doerr in 1946, 1947 and 1948. Typical lengths were 35" and typical weights 32 and 33 ounces, with a 34 ounce order on March 28, 1947. Let me know if that answers your questions - thanks, Jim - jcaravello@nc.rr.com
