Alan Trammell/Gary Sheffield Hat Size?

I picked up a #3 game used hat from Tigerfest yesterday, and I'm trying to figure out who wore it. I purchased it from the Tigers Foundation tent and the guy working said it could have been either Trammell's from when he was the manager or Sheffield's...does anyone know what size hat either of these guys wear?? Thanks for any help!

Post roids (HGH), the Sheff's cap size is 7 1/2 (saw some Tiger caps recently auctioned).

Should be pretty simple:

Grey underbill = Trammell
Black underbill = Sheffield

Sheffield has had a consistant handwriting style when he writes his "3". Can you post a photo of the written "3"? Also mbrieve made good sense as well.

Trying to pick up a little hat knowledge, what is with the difference in the colors of the underbill? Different time eras?

yes, starting in 2007 (even some in world series of 06), MLB switched from the grey underneath to the current black.
