Tom Brookshier dies

Brookshier was declared dead after a bout with cancer yesterday. He was 78.

Brookshier was an All-Pro DB twice in seven seasons with the Philadelphia Eagels and was a member of their 1960 NFL Championship team. He also was a long time NFL announcer for games on CBS.

From the 70s to the mid 80s my Sundays in the Fall were all about Tom Brookshier and Pat Summeral. He was a great broadcaster. He is already missed.
