Does his bats need a smily face on the knob?????

Not always - I have seen it on a few, along with one that also had a small bullseye drawn on the barrel sweetspot. Overall, most of his bats did not have one.

I was just wondering because i forum member told me that all of his bats have this on it, so i was just checking

I'm no Longoria expert just a fan but I look at a lot of his bats as well as look at a lot of pics on various sites. Last season he seemd to have a #3 sticker on the knob of many of his bats as is typical of Rays players but I've noticed a few without. His first was quite a mixed bag though. I saw bats with a #3 stickers, others with #3 written in marker, some with a smiley face and even others with nothing on the knob. To clarify as well I only pay attention to the LVS bats and not other manufactures. You don't see many but from time to time a Longoria bat other then LVS will be offered for sale and they all make me apprehensive.
