Roger Maris bat
How you doing today i was wondering if anyone could give me some information on a Roger maris Lousiville slugger Hillerrich & Bradsby. Is there any markings or way i can tell if this was game used? Thank you in advance

I know he often spelled his last name out on the knob as opposed to just writing the number 9

Hi Eric-- that would be a store model bat manufactured for retail sale, and not manufactured for Maris' personal professional use. If you check the length you will likely find that it is 33 inches in length, as indicated by the knob stamping.There are several good sites around for determining whether a bat is a professional model or not, with one of the best being BirdBats at this link http://webpages.charter.net/birdbats/Birdbats/index.htm
