2001 Moises Alou Houston Astros Jersey

Any insight on this one. I remember reading somewhere that the Astros never had this type of strip tagging on jerseys in 2001 and that the ones with this type strip tagging were salesmans samples ( made for a few Astros Star players, but never worn by team or players). Can anyone confirm this?

Junk. The Astros, as far as I know, have NEVER used tail strip tagging on Majestic jerseys. B&E is normally good, but they struck out on both this one AND a Cubs alternate that just completed on eBay a few days ago...the Cubs jersey used a red numeric font on the collar strip tag, which the Cubs have never done with Majestic.

I agree with Dave the Astros have started selling their game used uniforms from the last 10 years or so at a special shop in the stadium. I have seen between 25-40 2001's and over 300 Majestic jerseys in the last year and none of them had strip
tags hope this helps

I own 5 Astros gamers bought directly from the Astros Authentic booth and none have strip tagging. Also none of my late 90's games have tagging either. Until last season the Astros sat on most of their gamers from 1999 to present so I guess they had no reason to tag the jerseys.

On a side note, are strip tags ever in any other color than black? That's the only color I've seen, and this one looked odd to me just because of the red font.
