Looks like McGwire still has some of his old bats laying around.

The caption says that the bat is from 2001 but I don't see anything stamped on the knob denoting what year it was made.

Well I wonder how many of these he has laying around and if so how many will eventually end up on the Market as Game Used fro his playing days???

That bat likely was manufactured in 1998, after the season. Bill Steele at Rawlings told me they made some bats for Mark that fall/winter that had MAC 25 but no batch number. Note that the barrel uses the 1998 font for Mark's name. After '98, the font changed.
