Anybody know what season the MLB Logo started to be placed on the back of jerseys? I believe it was 2000?

I have a 1999 Devil Rays and it does not have the MLB Logo. This Hernandez jersey does have it and in 2001 the Devil Rays changed their uni's. So the Hernandez has to be a 2000. Hernandez was in St. Pete 1998 through 2000.

Any ideas on who the Hernandez jersey was give to?
