    Re: Robert Edward Auctions

I was looking through Robert Edward Auctions today and noticed some nice items! Here are a few highlights that I thought were pretty cool!

2008 Derek Jeter New York Yankees Game-Used Road Jersey W/ Steiner LOA

This is out of my price range but could be a good buy for someone .As a Yankee fan I enjoyed seeing the 2008 Derek Jeter game used jersey. I love how it has both patches and the arm band! I did some research today on Getty images and believe to have found a photomatch. You can see the loose threads on the chest “NEW YORK”. There is one on the N and another on the W. Pretty cool! Looks to be worn in August.

For some reason it is not listed in their “GAME-USED JERSEYS/EQUIPMENT” category but rather in the “INTERNET ONLY LOTS” which could help the price stay low a bit as some collectors do not look past the “GAME-USED” category. I looked through the catalog book and didn’t see it in their so I wondering if it was a late entry.

1954 Hank Aaron Signed Pro-Model Rookie Bat – Aaron LOA
    http://bid.robertedwardauctions.com/bidplace.aspx?itemid=14475

The bat is only at $1,800 right now! Letter from Hank Aaron stating:

Dear Sir or Madam, Subject: My rookie game used bat - This letter is to confirm that this is my game used rookie bat first used during the 1954 season. I came up with the Milwaukee Braves in '54 and chose to use an Adirondack bat. I preferred to use a 35", 34 oz. bat. My model was a 113A. This bat was a favorite of mine and quite possibly could have been used to hit one of my very first career homeruns.</SPAN>

In addition, the 1986 Mattingly AS bat, both Babe Ruth bat's, and the 1911 Boston Red Sox jersey are awesome!

Any Bird collectors know anymore info, good/bad about the one in their auction:

Looks sweet, but dunno.. I've seen too many of these '87's MJ, Magic and Bird to know there are fakes out there, but not saying this is.

Anymore info anyone has would be great!

Photo look positive...those cheesecloth gamers were often shrunk down a bit after player usage.
