    Markers

Advice on what type of marker to use on a dark number on the back of a jersey: Silver Sharpie, Decco marker, etc??

    Thanks,

    Re: Markers

I used a silver colored paint marker (obtained @ Michael's) on this Bill Ripken TBTC clock jersey and it took fine:

do they sell silver/gold pens with finer points? most of the autographs I've gotten using these have come out thick and they sometimes look like a mushed blurbed, unlike with black or blue ink.

Stay away from silver sharpies. My experience is that they come out very light compared to a paint pen.

Yes they do. Go to a Michael's craft store. Test out the ink. Don't go with too fine of a point as I found out once as it looked thinner than a ballpoint on a baseball.

That Billy Ripken sig above looks like a good thickness.

DecoColor work good, broad line or fine line depending on the size of the area you are having signed.

New question: Same decco type markers still the way to go on "nylon-type" jackets??

    Thanks,
