    Strange Ray Knight bat

So I went to Grey Flannel yesterday to pick up the bat lot I won. The only two bats I wanted in this 4 bat lot was the Piazza and 88 McReynolds NLCS bat. In this lot is a Ray Knight Oriole Worth gamer from the 87-88 season. I really didn't think too much of the bat and the auction description stated it didn't have Ray's no. 25 on the knob but another number which indicated use by another teammate. I noticed today that the bat has no. 8 which was Cal Ripken Jr's number with the Orioles.

There's no way on earth Cal Ripken would borrow a bat from Ray Knight.

    Re: Strange Ray Knight bat

I think I found my answer.

Knight played for the Detriot Tigers in 1988 and Mike Heath wore no. 8 that year.
