The Atlanta Braves' future HoFer will have his #47 jersey retired in Atlanta before the August 6 game. Great pitcher...great guy...congratulations, Tom.
other than the larsen perfect game glavine's one hit shutout of the indians to clinch the 95 series has to be the best game ever pitched by a pitcher in the world series. all those twenty win seasons are also increadible when you consider that most of today's best pitchers do not even have more than one in their career. he is also the last pitcher too win 300 games for a long time if not forever as other than sabathia and maybe buerhle no active pitcher appears to have a realistic shot at it. its a shame that he was often overshadowed by maddux and smoltz.
