Anybody else get tired of espn following strasburg?
I get tired of seeing espn follow this guy. The rangers have a guy who throws just as hard and is in his second year in the bigs. About the only difference between the two is feliz isnt a millionaire.

Just notice on ESPN, FoxSports, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News how it's not what's said so much as who says it that constitutes a debate or article. Something mundane is said, but since it's Brett Favre or Terrell Owens who said it it's an entire article. As I said, it's celebrity news.

ESPN is a joke for a network. They are just a bunch of red sox fans and dont know anything about sports.

Re: Anybody else get tired of espn following strasburg?
i think they are jumping the gun on him. alot of pitchers who look like future stars do not last ala kerry wood, mark prior, etc. It is like they did with Lebron before he went pro, hype, hype, hype. The difference is baseball players especially pitchers are much harder to project then basketball players. This kid could blow out his arm or simply not be able to handle big league hitters.

Re: Anybody else get tired of espn following strasburg?
I saw Stasburg pitch at Reading back in April when he was with Harrisburg and I was amazed with this guy that night. I saw Aroldis Chapman pitch at Scranton at the end of April and also on May 19th at Lehigh Valley and was not as impressed with him.
On a side note, several years ago I saw Phil Hughes when he was pitching in the minors and was impressed with him. He got injured and has not been great with the Yankees so anything can happen.

The Eastern Seabord Programming Network? Hardly a surprise. Oh, well, better than any Brett Favre watch, I guess.
