Re: Anybody else get tired of espn following strasburg?
For following baseball in general, I much prefer the MLB Network to ESPN.

Re: Anybody else get tired of espn following strasburg?
I was really surprised to see a Nationals fan with a Nationals team Strasburg jersey. He said he bought it at the team shop. This is the first time I've ever heard of a team marketing a players jersey before he was even called up.

Wait a sec....we have a Yankees fan complaining about ESPN's bias toward another team?? What's the world coming to?
ESPN should get it over with and rename itself the Yankees/Red Sox Network. Pencil them in, Yanks or Sox every Sunday and Monday. Yanks/Sox nearly every time they play a series together. Btw, Yanks vs. Sox is easily the most overrated rivalry in sports.

The Eastern Seabord Programming Network? Hardly a surprise. Oh, well, better than any Brett Favre watch, I guess.

Always looking for game used bats from Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg, Mark Grace, Jody Davis, Shawon Dunston, Jerome Walton, Rick Sutcliffe, and Greg Maddux. Preferably CUBS era bats.

Re: Anybody else get tired of espn following strasburg?
The biggest shell game in the world one of one anything in this hobby especially cards. How many Stratsburg cards will be released this year, that are some form of limited edition? You don't even get a sig. with this one. If he does not make it someone will have a very expensive piece of cardboard someday. Even if the kid is the next Dan Haren or a comparable allstar but not really Cy Young caliber pitcher he will be viewed as a failure so I think investing alot in him at this point is a HUGE risk. Young pitchers get hurt and/or underperform all the time and even the can't miss ones miss or fall short of expectations. If I had to put my money on one young guy it would be Verlander, followed by Lincecium.

Can you imagine the money lost if this guy where to be a bust? I think the collectors combined with fans and all would be a bigger financial loss than the contract that he has signed with the Nats
