    nineteenth century uniform

Not sure if this is the right thread. My dad has this uniform that looks to be pre 1900. Was wondering if anyone has any info regarding this? What team is this? Value? etc.
    thanks!

To me, it looks consistent to 1890s baseball uniforms.

I can't give a $$ amount, but the hat itself would sell for good money. Rare item.

Found out that the 1924 schedule that was found with it is from St. Louis. I can assume that the jersey is from there as well. Anyone know how to find out minor league St. louis teams?

According to Baseball Reference.com the STL Cards only had one minor league affiliate in 1924. It was the Houston Buffaloes. Here is a link:

hmm, well it must be some sort of college or high school uniform. I guess its possible that the schedule has nothing to do with the origin of the uniform too.

I would think the uniform predates 1924. Probably dates to the 1890's up to about 1910. I had a similar pillbox cap that I know dated to 1907 because it was purchased with a dated team photo.
