HELP: Initials on Rawlings bat knob?
Ok, what is the established meaning for a Rawlings bat knob with the batch/date code replaced by player initials?
Store model? Post Season? Regular game bat?
The bat is from the early 90's label period. On the barrel it doesn't have any notation that it would be a post-season bat, it just has the Big Stick/Player name/Team name. But the knob has the model number, followed by player initials. It is also noted that it has the player name/weight in pen at the top (like you see on gamers).
Any knowledge appreciated.

Re: HELP: Initials on Rawlings bat knob?
Good chance it's a post-season bat. Substituting players' initials for batch/year codes was common on post-season bats back then.
