Irvin honored
This past weekend, Monte Irvin's #20 was retired by the San Francisco Giants. Originally a Negro League star, Irvin joined the New York Giants in 1948, and stayed there through 1955. His final season in '56 was spent with the Cubs.

Congrats Monte.
He deserves it I met him on many occasions and he is a nice guy.
Unfortunately his health is detoriating.
