1984 Giants question

I also have a 1984 San Francisco Giants BP, #43.

There are no rostered player who wore that #, and it was not used by their manager or any of their coaches.

Does anyone have a media guide or a Street & Smiths to be able to help me find out who wore this # in spring training that year?

Any help with this would be fantastic.

they had a pitcher named Colin Ward who was traded to the Giants in Jan of 1984 and when he came up in 1985 he wore #43 in 1985. Nobody wore 43 in 1983.

The 1984 Street & Smitrh's shows Mark Grant as #43 in ST. He switched to #34 for the regular season.
