    Wade Boggs M110

    Hi,
Did Wade Boggs Use an M110? If so, could you provide the specifics such as what period of time, and how many were ordered?

    Thank you,

Boggs' only documented orders of M110 and M110C (both at 34.5 inches) are found in 1977---- orders totaled 9 bats. An M110 from that label period, 1977-79, would be eligible for certification under this program :

      Hi Mike,

Thanks for the information, however I am confused.
The bat I have is from the 1986 -1989 labeling period. Wade boggs pro career began in 1982. Did you mean 1987?

      Thanks again,

          Hi Bob--

Te documented orders are correct as written---they were e orders at Winston-Salem in 1977. The next time M110 or M110C models appear in Boggs' records is 1993 (a couple of promo bats to BB Promotions. )

Also, from page 51 of BATS : "As recently as 1994, H & B produced bats for minor league teams, such as the Columbus Clippers, with 1986-89 pro labeling. These bats often have star player names on the barrel, and appear to be pro model bats of those star players.... If you are offered a pro model 1986-89 bat displaying some game use, focus on more than just the labeling and model number in order to determine the legitimacy of the bat

              Hi Mike,

              Thank You!

It appears that I have a Promotional bat.

I have wondered about this for some time. I believe I purchased this bat in the early 1990's.
Here is a link to the exact same bat in the current Hunt's online auction.

Guess I will remove it from my display of game used bats, and render it to the closet.

I do appreciate your help Mike.

              Regards,
